POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Production and Scheduling Planner is responsible for the scheduling of all orders that are processed daily to all departments and production lines in an accurate and prompt manner through shipping. Manages and processes all orders with responsibility for order accuracy and productivity results.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Creates, prints, and distributes all schedules for daily production for all necessary departments when needed. 

  • Works with internal software to process all internal orders needing to be processed daily and in a timely manner. 

  • Retrieves orders from customer service daily, reviews, changes, or cancels any request if reasonable and can accommodate. 

  • Changes and moves orders due to lead times of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. 

  • Plans and schedules workflow for each operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times. 

  • Maintains a reconciliation report of scheduled vs. actual keyed production per line. 

  • Works closely with the Production and Shipping Supervisor to determine the status of assigned projects or production runs. 

  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. 

  • Provides open communication with all departments, customer service, sales, distribution centers, and leadership to ensure accuracy. 

  • Analyzes production specifications and production capacity data and performs calculations to determine manufacturing processes and tools. 

  • Ensures compliance with company policies. 

  • Co-authors and is responsible for KPI objectives and reports activities or issues to management. 

  • Maintains a clean and safe work area. 

  • Coordinates and manages warranty scheduling, ensuring timely processing and alignment with service and production availability. 

  • Serves as a customer service liaison for builder customers, providing clear communication regarding order status, scheduling updates, and issue resolution. 

  • Acts as a liaison between production, scheduling, and service technicians to ensure efficient execution of service work, accurate scheduling, and alignment with customer expectations. 

  • Collaborates with service technicians to prioritize and adjust schedules based on warranty needs, field conditions, and operational demands. 

  • Communicates proactively with internal teams and customers to resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, or service-related concerns. 

  • Other duties may be assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Required: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 

  • Data entry, Microsoft office, excel 

  • Strong attention to detail 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

  • Forklift License preferred, not required
